For example, besides NatGeo’s support, the executive producer, Mike Medavoy, a living legend in Hollywood with 325 films under his belt, has produced some of the most acclaimed war films ever made: “Platoon,” “Apocalypse Now,” “Thin Red Line,” and others. “The Long Road Home,” based on the stunning book of the same name, the true story told by the highly respected ABC News Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz, has some incredible backing and war movie pedigree. To be clear, when I write “one of the finest war productions ever filmed,” I am not being insincere or overdramatic. And it was an unforgettable series of interviews–certainly some of the most emotional, powerful moments I’ve experienced at any movie-related press event. ![]()
